Green, green and green ;-)

I am very fascinated by the copper green glaze (Cerama 1373). In the last glazing, there was a lot of copper green ceramic, also with other shades of green glazes.

  • Botz 9865 Eukalyptus and Cerama 1373 copper green
  • Cerama 1318 slade grey and Cerama 1373 copper green
  • Botz 9867 Patina and Cerama 1373 copper green
  • A thin layer of Silicanordic 42312 nephrite green. The inside is off white 1364 from Cerama.
  • a thick layer of Silicanordic 42312. The inside is pebermint from Silicanordic 42012
  • Cerama 1373 copper green
  • Botz 9865 eucalyptus and Silicanordic 42012 pebermint.
  • Botz 9867 patina and silicanordic 42012 pebermint
  • From bottom Botz 9867 patina, a smalle line with Botz 9866 drift wood with a thin layer of botz +, and on top Botz 9890 turquoise rock.

Running together

These 4 things is glazed with two different glazes. Two glazes who is easy to work with, but together, they turned running, and beautiful glazes. I first used the off white (1364 from Cerama) on the inside and on the outside, and after that I dip the upper part in sea blue (42321 from silicanordic). It turned out very nice and I learned how to use a angle grinder with diamond disk 😉

three beautiful mugs

  1. The inside is glazed with sand (Silicanordic 42008). The 2/3 of the outside of the mug is glazed with 2 layer Eukalyptus (Bots brushe glaze no.9865), and when it is dry the upper half of the mug was dipped in coppergreen (Cerama 1373).
  2. The inside is glazed with Creme (Silicanordic 42009), The lower half of the mug is glazed with 3 layer roserock (brush 9864 from Botz) and the upper half is glazed with 3 layer icecrystal (brush 9898 from Botz). When it has dryed, I brush a thin layer of effec generator ( Silicanordic) on the upper half.
  3. The inside is glazed with Creme ( silicanordic 42009). The outside is glazed with 3 layer dark blue with effect (Botz bruch glaze 9881) an a thin layer of effect generator (Silicanordic). It nearly run, I think I only should have glazed it with 2 layer dark blue and then the effect generator.

The dinner is served

And now, the dinner plates came out of the kiln. They is made by the same technique as the deep plates.

Coppergreen from Cerama.

Pebbermint from Silicanordic with some koppergreen spots and at last at thin layer of effect generator.

Seablue from Silicanordic.

Off white from Cerama with seablue ( Silicanordic) spots and effect generator.

Blue grey with spots from Silicanordic.

Making deep plates

I cut a bigger hole in an old lp and layed it on top of my bat system. I placed my forms on the lp.

I rolled out the clay to about 5 mm thickness, smoothed it and moved it onto the mold.

The plates had to have a rim. For my plates it should be 2 cm.

I made the bottom part of the plate, I used my homemade extruder ,-)

I released the plate from the bat system and the lp byt presseing the hand behind the batsystem. I let the plate dry a bit and then I removed the molds an put the plate on an foam. The rim is presed a bit down to get the right angel.

An eye?

This bowl is, at the inside, glazed with off white from cerama 1364, and then added a little bit of sea blue 42321 from Silicanordic ( most sea blue on the upper part and som drops), at finally I added som effect generator from Silicanordic. I painted the generator from the rim and towards the center.

Finally I doused the outside with the seablue glaze. It is fired at 1250.

The black clay

I throw som white mugs, and when the mugs were leather hard, i put a handle on the mugs and then I added some shapes made in thin black clay. The black clay can be seen through the colored glaze even though the glaze alså covers the shapes.
